Jeffery James “Big Kahuna” Acob, 68, of Louisville, Ky, died April 19. Born in Hilo and raised in Pahoa, he was a retired U.S. Army veteran awarded the Bronze Star during Operation Desert Storm, worked for the Kentucky Deptartment of Veterans Affairs and was a member of the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association and Veterans of Foreign Wars. Committal service with military honors held in Kentucky.
